Volunteers and teamwork

In the wake of a hurricane, healing our community and restoring our coastline becomes a shared journey that we can all embark on together. We are all affected. We are all tired. We are all looking around with heartbreak at the damage and loss caused by the Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

One of the most rewarding ways to contribute is through volunteer service. When we unite for a common cause, we not only foster meaningful change but also create lasting connections with one another. One local organization that has stepped up to organize volunteers not only for beach clean ups, but to also help local residents and businesses with interior cleaning, exterior cleaning, you work and painting is the Coastal Guardian Alliance. The efforts are amazing and if you need help you can reach them at contact@thecoastalguardians.org.

Why Volunteer?

Coming together to work on projects like those mentioned above and Good Guardians Collective beach renourishment can have a transformative impact on our environment. By joining forces, we can help heal the scars left by the hurricane, restore the beauty of our beaches, and protect vital habitats for local wildlife. A collaborative effort not only benefits our ecosystem but also nurtures a sense of pride and community spirit as we all play a part in rejuvenating our shared spaces.

We’re excited to announce our important community impact project: The Renourishment of the North End of Anna Maria Beach in the City of Anna Maria. This project is about more than just restoration; it’s an opportunity for all of us to come together, heal, and revitalize our coastline. We’ll be planting sea oats, panic grass, sea vines, and other native coastal flowering plants that are essential for rebuilding our dunes, supporting local ecosystems and building back our local economy.

Want to Get Involved?

If you’re interested in being a part of this healing process, we’d love to have you join us! Your support will make a meaningful difference in restoring our coastline and connecting you with fellow community members who share your commitment to our environment.

To receive updates on our project and find out how you can volunteer, please reach out to us at volunteer@goodguardianscollective.com. Together, let’s embrace this opportunity to heal and restore the North End of Anna Maria Beach, creating a vibrant coastal environment for everyone to enjoy.

This is an important journey and we can work hand in hand to revitalize our beautiful coastline starting on the north end of Anna Maria from Pine Street to Bean Point! (area that is not going to receive renourishment from Manatee County)
